Tri-Cities Pride Announces New Board Leadership and Reimagined Mission, Vision, and Values.
PASCO, WA — April 13, 2026 — Tri-Cities Pride announces new board leadership and a reimagined mission, vision, and values framework to strengthen local 2SLGBTQIA+ leadership, expand year-round programming, and deepen partnerships that advance power and joy across the Tri-Cities and Mid-Columbia region.
Vision
A thriving community through the empowerment and celebration of 2SLGBTQIA+ people and organizations.
Mission
Tri-Cities Pride empowers 2SLGBTQIA+ people and the organizations that serve them through advocacy, education, and community-centered programming, including our flagship annual Pride Festival.
The board has adopted a new set of organizational values intended to guide decision-making and partnerships as the organization continues to grow:
Tri-Cities Pride Values
Community- and Locally-Led
Anti-Racism as Belonging
Inherent Dignity
Integrity
Collective Power & Systems Building
Joy
“Our mission, vision, and values finally reflect who we actually are as a board and who we’re committed to being in this community. We want people to feel it, not just hear it,” said A’isha Martin, President of Tri-Cities Pride. “You belong here, you are seen and we’re not just showing up for one event and calling it good. Pride is one day we bring everyone together to celebrate, but our presence and our work exist every other day of the year too.”
Updated Board Leadership
Tri-Cities Pride also recently updated its executive leadership structure as part of its continued board development work. We are excited to welcome Omni Romero as our new Vice President, Hayley Houtrouw as our new Board Secretary, and Brenton Nundahl as our new Communications Chair. Our current leadership is as follows:
President & Pride Festival Chair: A’isha Martin
Vice President & Programming Chair: Omni Romero
Secretary: Hayley Houtrouw
Treasurer: Ryan Nell
Volunteer Chair: Lucy Mercado
Communications Chair: Brenton Nundahl
“Pride, at its best, is part of a longer journey toward justice for all BIPOC, immigrant, working-class, disabled, and marginalized communities. As a nonbinary person living with HIV, raised by immigrant farmworkers here in the Tri-Cities and trained in social justice organizing across the country, I’m honored to build power for 2SLGBTQ+ people in my hometown,” said Omni Romero, Vice President of Tri-Cities Pride.
As an all-volunteer organization, Tri-Cities Pride’s board members bring decades of experience in community organizing, nonprofit leadership, communications, and local advocacy. Applications to join the board will reopen this Spring.
